Download the Bulletin as a PDFThe Church after Pentecost is a Church that is always evangelizing, always trying to save sinners, win souls, restore the fallen away and encourage the weak.

This is an endeavor the begins with a decision to love that person created by God and for God. It entails encouraging people to learn the Divine Revelation that is Jesus, to explore the beauty of the Faith which we also continue to learn, to meditate on the divine mysteries that quickly exhaust words and turn into groaning of the soul. Today that meditation is on the Holy Trinity and next week on Our Lord’s Most Sacred Body and Blood.
We invite that person to pray and to come to Mass. We welcome new faces at Church, knowing that if they stick around they will show evidence of having been transformed by grace. Their reverential demeanor and attire will show they understand that Our Lord Jesus Christ is truly present in the tabernacle and that the Holy Mass is the most sublime event of the earthly day. Their genuine peace and joy will reflect a good conscience, a home ordered to godliness and a soul confident in the victory of Christ over our own sin and all the evils that threaten us. We welcome people to our refuge as well as to our struggle. The Church is a beautiful, mystical oasis to experience the consolation of God’s veiled presence which takes us apart from the world and it is the place where we wage that first battle against despair, doubt, selfishness and infidelity before engaging the rest of the world.
Welcome the passerby, the visitor, the newcomer, the relapsed Catholic and the fellow traveler. You will find in the lobby the new Welcome Packet, the concept of which was described a few weeks ago. Several dedicated and thoughtful parishioners helped with its formulation, assembly and initial distribution. Thank you!
And I thank you for reading it and offering your contribution, for making use of it to welcome a new family in your neighborhood and for extending your thanks to our sponsors for making it possible.
God bless you!
