Please join us on All Souls Day, Sunday, November 2nd, for a special gathering of prayer dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
We will begin prayers promptly at 7:00 A.M. at the gate of Saint James Parish Cemetery (see link), at the corner of West and Fowler Streets, for a candlelit procession and prayers for our departed brothers and sisters.
All are warmly invited to participate in this sacred time of reflection and intercession for the faithful departed.
As a spiritual offering, please remember that indulgences for the souls in Purgatory may be obtained under the usual conditions:
Plenary Indulgence – Applicable only to souls in Purgatory:
Partial Indulgence – Applicable only to souls in Purgatory:
Source: Manual of Indulgences, Apostolic Penitentiary, fourth edition (1999) of Enchiridion
Let us join together in faith and charity for the repose of all souls.
May the perpetual light shine upon them, and may they rest in peace. Amen.
