Dear Friends,
I am pleased to share with you our parish financial report for the year ending June 30, 2025. You can view the full
report by clicking here. This report reflects far more than financial figures—it is a testament to how God continues to bless our
parish community and how you, through your faith and generosity, respond to His grace.
Over the past year, we were especially blessed to receive an extraordinary dividend of $165,000 from our diocesan
savings account. With these funds—and your continued support—we completed several important projects that
directly benefit our parish family. These included replacing aging HVAC units in the rectory and school, expanding
our security camera system, adding a pew to the cry room, and renovating the main confessional.
Some projects will continue into the current fiscal year, such as ongoing campus security upgrades, renovation of
the second confessional, converting the garage into a public gathering space, and replacing the sign along Old
Dominion Drive. We also look ahead to new initiatives, including replacing the church roof and installing pedestrian
crosswalk lights in front of the church and school.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary as a parish, I am deeply moved by the generations of families who have
sacrificed so much to ensure that the Church founded by Jesus Christ could continue to enrich the lives of souls
here in our community. Through their generosity and faith, the Church took root in El Nido and has become a
living presence of Christ.
Before you finish reading, I invite you to pause and reflect on a few questions:
In all the good you do for your family and community, how is the spiritual life involved?
How does your neighborhood Catholic church fit into the impact you make in the world?
How important is it to you that there is a sacred place nearby—where anyone can pray in quiet, where the Holy
Mass is offered, where the Gospel is preached, when sin is confronted, where forgiveness is granted, where the
poor find help, and where even the hungry can find joy in our famous BBQ?
Is there anything more vital to the well-being of our society?
I encourage you to prayerfully consider how you might deepen your involvement.
Can you join us more often in Adoration and at Mass? Can you volunteer in the classroom, at liturgy, or in
parish life? Could your home host a prayer group or Bible study? Might you invite your neighbors to encounter
Jesus at St. John the Beloved? And can you ensure that our parish is part of the ten percent you dedicate to
charitable works?
Thank you for all the ways you strive to make a difference in the world—and for the many ways you contribute to
the life and mission of our parish. With every best wish, I remain
Sincerely Yours in Christ,
Very Rev. Christopher J. Pollard
